Ways to Give
General Donations
Donations to our General Fund will help us to meet all of our project needs as well as to provide emergency disaster relief when necessary. A small percentage of money raised also helps us to maintain our core operations. To donate to the general fund just click on the donate button.You can write in special instructions if it is a designated donation to a specific project or appeal. If you don’t give us special instructions we will understand that it is a general donation.
Monthly donations
This commitment allows you to multiply the impact of your donation. By contributing each month, donors provide us with a reliable funding base and help us reduce our administrative costs. You can make your monthly payment by direct debit or credit card. You can also change the amount of your donation or end it at any time by contacting us. At the end of the year, SDC issues an official tax receipt for the amount of your contributions.
Designated Donations
You can write in special instructions if it is an earmarked donation. You can do this via PayPal by clicking on the line just below the donation amount titled “Add special instructions to seller”. This line appears directly below “Make this a monthly donation”. If you do not give us special instructions we will accept it as a general donation.
Commemorative Giving
Your gift to Susila Dharma can remember a birthday, an anniversary, a life remembered or other important events. We will send a card of thanks to the person or family receiving the gift and a tax receipt to the donor if within Canada. This can be done by writing in special instructions after you click the donate box and specify your donation amount.
Planned Giving
You can name SD Canada as a beneficiary in your will or an insurance policy. We suggest you seek legal advice on how to do this within tax and charitable laws. Please contact us to discuss this option further.

You will be taken to the PayPal® website where you fill out your credit card information. You can write in special instructions if it is an earmarked donation. You can use your credit card for online donations under $2000 even if you don’t have a PayPal account.
PayPal® charges SD Canada a percentage fee for each transaction. For small donations this fee is negligible; however, if you are making a large contribution, it is better to send a cheque or money transfer directly to SD Canada.
